About Me
Hi ! I am Caryn. Since I was a little girl, animals have been a passion of mine. I have two furry best friends. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Tucker and a rescue pit bull named Garvey. I started volunteering for my local shelter in 2013 after looking to adopt a rescue for over a year. A close friend had gone through police canine training for the NYPD and I felt the need to help dogs in a more positive and active way.
I attended SUNY New Paltz receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2002 with a concentration in Graphic Arts. I later received my Masters in Education but, have never forgotten my love for design.
As a young child, when asked: "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I had always responded a veterinarian. In high school I found another passion, my passion for art came to life. In the past year, I have volunteered with homeless dogs and began doing photography work for the shelter. I have learned so much more than I ever could of about caring for dogs. And one thing I know for sure, they are a lovable, forgiving, loving species. Dogs are definitely a gift given to the human race.
In these experiences, I have rediscovered my love for photography by capturing each moment and unique personality of each animal. Sometimes, you catch the perfect moment that tells it all about one animal!
